This
building which is currently occupied by the Trustee Savings Bank was formerly
the Cunard Line Office. In later years it became the Cunard White Star Line
Office. At the rear of the building next door was the Cunard Pier, little
remains of it today. It was at this pier that the first victims of the Lusitania
were brought ashore.
Although
the office is long gone Cunard Liners still come to Cobh. Their most famous
ship the QE2 is a frequent visitor.
